People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. Like humans, animals are capable of suffering and want the freedom to lead their own lives. PETA and its international affiliates use peaceful means to inform the public about the horrors of cruelty to animals.
We love animals – especially dogs and cats! The Lost Dogs’ Home is one of Australia’s largest and most-loved animal welfare charities. Each year the Home provides compassionate care for over 18,000 lost, stray, abandoned, neglected and injured dogs and cats (despite our name, we care for thousands of lost cats and kittens too!).
Vision Australia is a leading national provider of blindness and low vision services in Australia. We work in partnership with people who are blind or have low vision to help them reach whatever goals they choose in life. Our services help ensure that people living with blindness or low vision can get a good education and meaningful employment as well as being able to live independently and fully participate in the life of their community. Seeing Eye Dogs is a division of Vision Australia and is the only national provider of mobility dogs for people who are blind or have low vision.
