Neuroblastoma Australia

Our purpose
Neuroblastoma Australia is a registered charity focused on raising awareness and vital funds for research into the aggressive childhood cancer, neuroblastoma.
Neuroblastoma claims more lives of children under 5 than any other cancer. The average age of diagnosis is just 2 years old and the survival rate for high-risk neuroblastoma is a dismal 50%.
Currently, a third of those who do survive, have long term effects from their actual treatments, as the treatments themselves are so toxic and extensive.
There’s therefore an unmet need to fund research in this area – better treatments are urgently needed to ensure all children survive and get the chance to grow up and lead a long and healthy life.
Our three main objectives:
- To raise awareness of neuroblastoma childhood cancer and increase the understanding and the need to support research in this area
- To raise vital funds for outstanding cancer research into the development of better, safer treatments for children diagnosed with neuroblastoma now and in the future
- To provide information and support to those affected by neuroblastoma.
Neuroblastoma Australia raises funds through organising events and initiatives such as Run2Cure, to support the most promising neuroblastoma treatment research which is assessed by an expert Scientific Advisory Board.
The charity also supports families through the provision of accurate information about the disease and also networking opportunities for affected families to meet other families.
By leaving a gift to Neuroblastoma Australia in your Will you will be contributing towards advancing our understanding of cancer, and finding better, kinder treatments and ultimately a cure for this aggressive childhood cancer.
