Cerebral Palsy Alliance
A bequest to Cerebral Palsy Alliance – Your beautiful gift to the world.
- Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common physical disability in childhood.
- Every 20 hours an Australian child is born with cerebral palsy.
- There are currently 17 million people in the world who have cerebral palsy.
- Numerous families living with cerebral palsy really need your help.
Your bequest to Cerebral Palsy Alliance will have a lasting impact to the lives of entire families living with this condition and might even help fund a cure for cerebral palsy.
At Cerebral Palsy Alliance our priority is to help babies, children, teenagers and adults living with cerebral palsy. We provide family-centred therapies, life skills programs, equipment and support for people living with cerebral palsy and their support networks.
Cerebral Palsy Alliance operates from 70 sites throughout metropolitan, regional and rural NSW and the ACT. We rely on your generosity to raise funds for services and research.
We also fund vital cerebral palsy research in Australia and overseas through our Research Foundation. Recently, we successfully lobbied the billion dollar stem cell research body, California Institute for Regenerative Medicine. They have agreed to add cerebral palsy to their agenda and fund several promising stem cell and cerebral palsy research projects. We fund a wide range of projects every year through our grant program, both in Australia and around the world, including an important study about global newborn health and child disability in Africa and specifically in newborn brain injury and cerebral palsy.
We are a unique organisation as we support people living with cerebral palsy and their families today, while working on prevention and cure for future generations.
And we rely heavily on the generosity of the community to raise funds for our services and research. In fact, bequests are our largest source of income. Without the gifts from wonderful supporters who remember our organisation in their Wills – we would not exist.
INCLUDING A GIFT IN YOUR WILL TO CEREBRAL PALSY ALLIANCE
Looking after your family and friends comes first. After remembering your loved ones, please consider leaving a gift in your Will to Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
Most bequests are made by ordinary, hard-working people who want to make a positive difference to their community.
Please contact Carol O’Carroll at [email protected] if you have any questions or to find out how you can include Cerebral Palsy Alliance in your Will.
