Bundanon
Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s gift of Bundanon in 1993 represents one of the most significant acts of philanthropy in the history of the arts in Australia. Driven by their belief you cannot own a landscape, they envisioned that Bundanon remain a place that enriches people’s lives and fosters a deep connection to and respect for landscape and Country, for generations to come.
Their gift has been built upon by subsequent acts of private generosity and government support, so that today, Bundanon provides an immersive experience that encompasses creativity and education; the Boyd family legacy and art collection; First Nations history; the unique landscape; and ambitious engagement programs.
Education is central to our work, and each year Bundanon hosts thousands of school children and community groups from across Australia to undertake world-class, creative learning programs.
Bundanon is committed to improving access by providing supported learning opportunities to young people experiencing socio-educational disadvantage. Priority is given to schools with high First Nations enrolments and those that cater to learners with a variety of different learning needs. Bundanon provides a wide range of accessible opportunities to experience our programs in an inclusive and nurturing environment, and partners with local community groups to uphold this commitment.
With your support, we can uphold Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s vision that this special place welcomes thousands, changes lives and remains a creative and collaborative sanctuary in the bush and on the river, for years to come.
By leaving a gift in your will to Bundanon, you will: improve access for those experiencing socio-economic disadvantage; promote creativity, innovation and learning across the arts and sciences; protect and enhance Bundanon’s natural environment and land management; and align with the Boyd’s legacy and vision, of a better future for all.
