IAC/Legacy Futures Research Findings: Boomers and Beyond (29 November 2023)
Ashley Rowthorn and Jon Franklin from Legacy Futures joined IAC’s Helen Beeby to discuss new research on Boomers and Gen X, and what the current trends for these generations mean for the Gift in Wills market. Legacy Futures estimates that the total Australian GIW market was $1.6bn in 2022 and predicts that it will triple in size by 2050.

As bequest fundraisers, we are in the business of creating emotions that will lead to action – leaving a charitable gift in someone’s Will. Yet, there are now so many descriptors for this fundraising area, and with social media adding more alternatives from around the world, it’s potentially becoming confusing for our supporters – and our colleagues. To unpick some of these conundrums and simplify (maybe unify) our messaging we thought it would be a great topic to delve into in our upcoming IAC Exchange session. This Lunch Webinar Summit will focus on How to Increase Consideration by the public and your audiences to leave a charitable gift in their Will. Karen Armstrong from More Impact will join us to help develop the discussions in key areas that were unearthed from the triennial IAC Campaign Effectiveness Report.
