Breast Cancer Institute of Australia

More than 13,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Thankfully, progress in research means that more people than ever before are surviving breast cancer long term. But we want to safely cure every person and to ultimately prevent breast cancer for all.

The Breast Cancer Institute of Australia is the fundraising department of the Australia and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group. For more than 35 years, this Group has conducted Australia's only independent, national clinical trials research program for the treatment, prevention and cure of breast cancer.

Clinical trials are essential to test the benefit and safety of new treatments, and treatment and prevention strategies before they are made widely available to the community.

We work with over 600 researchers in every major hospital and medical institution throughout Australia and with similar research groups internationally. By working together our research is making significant advances more quickly, thereby benefitting people in Australia and throughout the world sooner.

Bequests are a critical source of income helping to ensure our research programs continue to save lives.

For some people, leaving a bequest may be the most realistic way to make a contribution to our research. For others it ensures their commitment to our research continues beyond their lifetime.

We invite you to remember the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia in your Will, and help us to achieve our goal of "a world without breast cancer".
